We had some breakfast at the homestay then did some local sightseeing around Cochin. We visited Hill Palace, focusing on the deer park. The spotted deer were especially cute. We stopped at a dress shop where I bought a sari, Dave a dhoti and Tasha a child version of a sari. The blouse bit was stitched to size to be ready in 1 hour. The kids had some playtime at the playground at Fort Kochi. I had seen a restaurant with pancakes and dosa nearby so we went there for lunch. The restaurant is called Dosas & Pancakes and the food is a blend of western and indian foods. Great decor and great food! While we were at lunch the driver called the dress shop and my sari was hand delivered to me right at the restaurant. We then travelled some 60km south to Alleppey. We are staying in Venice Castle. The current other guests are a young couple from Melbourne called James and Bec.
