We got up very early to take a walk along the beach. The kids were fascinated by the giant jellyfish and almost black sand.
An autorickshaw took us back to the station. At the station Dave and I ate fresh aloo vada... yum!
On the train to Bombay we shared with a Punjabi family from Bombay. Within the first 5 minutes Natasha had picked up the girl's accent and even as I recount this 2 days later she still speaks like this!!! We also met a young Christian missionary from Kerala.
We saw some salt harvesting on the way to Bombay ..
We arrived at Bandra terminus a little behind schedule. It was not at all crowded. The coolie and taxi charges were steeper than elsewhere. We soon came to the private apartment in Wadala we are staying in that belongs to our friend Shreya and her husband Carl.

While we waited for the train to Bombay, our girls entertained some of the local girls by sharing their pencils and textas and giving stickers. Among them was Laxmi, the 'leader' of the trio. While the other 2 girls were happy to be just kids for 10 minutes and sit there drawing, Laxmi was more concerned about getting money for food and drinks. I fear what might happen to these pretty girls as they get a little older....
